Rossana cucine

Rossana's history is unique among high-end kitchen manufacturers; sixty years in the relentless pursuit of a dream. Not all brands are so close to design quality in the collective consciousness. Its strength is not exclusively limited to responding to market demands, but has pursued independent research paths, always keeping up with the times. Unlike the general trend, Rossana kitchens are created to last: designed and built with meticulous attention to each and every detail, a type of haute couture that becomes prêt-à-porter.
1953 Fulvio Brembilla, a visionary Italian entrepreneur founds RB in Bergamo, starting to manufacture high end kitchen furniture
In 1972 model Isola designed by Giancarlo Iliprandi is displayed at the M.O.M.a. in NYC during the “Italy: a new domestic landscape”exhibition.

In 1968 Giancarlo Iliprandi design Rossana model: the kitchen is so successful that the name is integrated in the company name and becomes the famous brand “the kitchen of the heart”. In 1981 Rossana starts its cooperation with Michele De Lucchi: the kitchen system 214 he designed obtains Casa Vogue cover and 1986 is exhibited in Tokyo SEIBU department stores. 1990 – 2000 Rodolfo Dordoni joins Rossana and designs his first kitchen “Verona”: the model starts a new era evolving the kitchen furniture concept going beyond the “the kitchen technical function” bringing the kitchen closer to living room furniture.
2000 – 2005 Massimo Castagna starts its collaboration with rossana as art director and designer. He designs “Oslo”, “Basic” and “Vienna”, three of the most successful kitchen models in Rossana’s history. 2005 – 2009 Rodolfo Dordoni designs “Etna”, an ever-green kitchen system, introducing dordoni bourgeois kitchen concept, overcoming the pure minimalism, a successful combination of design and decoration that integrates the kitchen into the living room. Nowdays ISØLA designed by Carlo Colombo is a reinterpretation of the concept underlying a historic Rossana kitchen, which at the time surprised everyone for its revolutionary elements. A rigid design of full and empty spaces in which the architect’s hand is recognisable.
